What does the French statue of…
I was watching a movie in world history about thefrench revolution and this statue kept coming up of a lady with her shirt either torn or purposefully exposing her breasts and I was wondering if this symbolized anything?

Every weekend, my husband and I rent a new release from Blockbuster DVD. And so I ask, why does almost every good movie have to show women's naked breasts at least once? I mean, would it really be that big of a deal for that one scene to keep them clothed, or cut that scene completely. Completely exposed breasts while nursing in public? Are you OK with this?
First of all, I am a proud nursing mommy. I have nursed 6 guyren, one of them until he was 2.5 years old. I have nursed in public many times, however, I am as discrete as possible. I try to expose as little breast (by pulling my shirt up) as possible and then, after my baby has latched on, I drape a blanket over us.

This weekend, our family was at a carnival. As I was enjoying lunch with my boys and some of our friends, I saw a lady walking by. Let's have a little perspective. It's a boob. It was made for feeding babies. Only in our recent history has it been over-sexualized and made taboo. She wasn't masturbating in public, for crying out loud, she was feeding a baby.

A lot of it has to do with attention and little respect for the female body. People can say that they have respect for themselves, but if you think about it logically, woman who show off their body in for sexual attention probably have lower self esteem about themselves than the woman who dresses modestly and still feels attractive. They need men to look at them to feel good about themselves.

Breast Feeding in public, what are your thoughts?
I wan't to start by saying im not against ladies that breastfeed in public. To be honest i couldn't care less what other people decide to do BUT in saying this i did feel a little uncomfortable today lol. I breastfed my son and never exposed my breasts to anyone. I had my 2 young stepsons around, my mother and father in law - and not one of them every saw my breasts. I used a small baby blanket draped over one shoulder and around my baby to be discreet. My baby was happily feeding, and I didn't have to leave the room to breastfeed.

I see no reason why a woman should have to expose herself to the world just to breastfeed. Breastfeeding is important, but it should be discreet, cos men & boys will always stare.
